Family Medicine

Family physicians are dedicated to treating the whole person. At Coryell Memorial our Family Medicine's cornerstone is an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship focusing on integrated care. Our Family practice physicians' focus on caring for the entire family, including pediatrics and OB/GYN care.  Unlike other specialties that are limited to a particular organ or disease, family medicine integrates care for patients of all genders and every age, and advocates for the patient.

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine training focuses solely on disease facing adults. Our internal medicine physician's primary responsibilities include providing long-term, comprehensive care health maintenance and disease screening, the diagnosis and care of acute and chronic medical conditions, management of patients with multiple, complex medical problems, and serving as consultants to other disciplines such as surgery, obstetrics, and family medicine.
An internist's work is characterized by extensive knowledge and skill in diagnosis and treatment.

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants

Many of our primary care physicians also use "midlevel" care providers to help take care of their patients.  "Midlevel" is a term used to describe Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are trained to manage patient care under the supervision of a physician.  They are licensed to provide care, as well as to order diagnostic tests or prescribe many medications.

If you would like to make an appointment with one of our physicians or midlevel practitioners please call Coryell Medical Clinic at (245) 865-2166.
