Volunteering

Here to serve. Ready to help.

The Coryell Memorial Healthcare volunteers are eager to serve community members most in need. A critical component of our support team and healthcare system, our volunteers’ combined efforts have earned statewide recognition for their exemplary hospital services.

Organized in early 1977, with the support of the Gatesville Garden Club, the volunteer group is now composed of more than 80 members. The group also boasts dozens of lifetime and sustaining members who remain actively involved.

Today’s active volunteers perform a variety of services including, but not limited to, welcoming visitors, calling Bingo for residents, delivering mail, working in the salon, visiting patients, and raising money for system improvements and equipment. Throughout the varied types of service, the volunteers make a substantial impact in the lives of our patients and residents.
